Flagstone.

*** is the flagstone in the walkway of my life.

Pam's review of "God and Guns"

I am a huge Lynyrd Skynyrd fan. I grew up with this band. I cried when they had a tragedy. But, they are just not the same and I'm not the first person to note it. Their latest album, gods n Guns, is just so sappy it is not the same rock 'n roll band that I know! For example there is a song called Unwrite  That Song, that is so terrible it makes me want to cry. I don't know what they were thinking when they published this but people probably don't want to hear this kind of dreadful noise come from such a legendary group. I think that it's filler.  The song called Floyd is great. But the kicker of this album is its title song, which naturally kicks butt like any Skynyrd material should. But no one can ever come close to Ronnie's vocal athleticism in songs like, "I Ain't the One," or the lonesome angst of 'Tuesday's Gone."

***2-1/2 out of four stars.***
